Neil D. Hackman, President & CEO

Neil is a graduate of Bernard Baruch College with a BBA in business. He is the President, Chief Executive Officer, and owner of Oak Financial Group, Inc. Neil founded Oak Financial Group, Inc. in 1992 after working for a regional brokerage firm from 1980 through 1986 and launching his own commission based firm in 1986 which he subsequently sold in 1990.

Neil has over 28 years of money management experience. The investment process Neil employs is strategic and tactical asset allocation, which is the movement of funds in and out of select asset classes when appropriate to provide a healthy return in good times and prevent losses in bad times.

Neil is involved in a start up non-profit therapy center for special needs children entitled Healing Hearts.


Richard A. Palmer, Executive Vice President

Rich is a graduate of Fordham University with a BS in finance. He joined Oak Financial Group, Inc. in 2003, bringing in-depth experience in the securities industry of over thirty years. He has served in several broker/dealer, trust, and financial planning capacities at money center banks including JPMorganChase & Bankers Trust.

His responsibilities include account development and relationship management, while working closely with Neil in making investment decisions.

Rich, the father of four daughters, continues to be involved in various community activities and enjoys forays on the golf course.



Gregg R. Evangelist, Investment Consultant

Gregg is a graduate of Colgate University, where he received a BA with honors in Political Science, and a graduate of George Washington University Law School, where he received a JD. Gregg holds the Series 65 license.

He joined Oak Financial Group, Inc. in 2010, bringing nearly 20 years of securities law and investment management experience. Gregg’s responsibilities at the firm include client development, relationship management, and investment research.

For more than seven years prior to joining Oak, Gregg served as a portfolio manager for high net worth individuals and institutional clients. From 1991 through 2002, Gregg managed a successful securities law practice in Manhattan and Long Island devoted to securities arbitration, securities regulation, investor rights, and general counsel services.

Gregg is an avid runner and tennis player and involved in many local community activities. He lives on the north shore of Long Island with his wife and two daughters.



Korinne A. Palmer, Chief Operations Officer & Chief Compliance Officer (COO& CCO)

Kori is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm; this includes all non investment related functions, technology issues, and client related interaction. She is the officer primarily responsible for overseeing and managing compliance issues within the organization, making sure the firm's Policies and Procedures are in compliance with the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), as well as to administering them to the staff. Kori is a member of the National Society of Compliance Professionals (NSCP).

Kori is an avid runner who recently completed her first marathon, and plays soccer year round.



Kyra E. Palmer, Portfolio Administrator

Kyra is a graduate of the University Of Connecticut School Of Business. Kyra has her Series 65/Uniform Investment Advisor License. She assists the President & CEO, as well as the Executive Vice President in the comprehensive development and implementation of the firm's investment philosophy. Her responsibilities also include liaising between high net worth clients and the Investment Advisors.

Kyra is a competitive soccer player and has developed an affiliation for running.


Beatrice M. Varnit, Administrator

Beatrice joined Oak Financial Group, Inc. in January 2004. Beatrice reports to the COO, and assists in the daily functions of the firm including daily reconciliation and other back office functions. She provides necessary support for ongoing success and continual growth.

Beatrice enjoys volunteering at a local animal shelter and is active with various animal rights groups.
